FAQ
The Queen of Hearts — FAQ
1. How does the automatic subscription to the Queen of Hearts lottery work?
In concrete terms, it means you subscribe only once, and then… you no longer have to think about it! Every week, your tickets are purchased automatically, just in time for the next draw. No more stress about forgetting the deadline or missing your chance to win the jackpot!
It's simple, secure, and above all, it lets you support a cause we all care about — health care in the Outaouais — week after week, with no extra effort. Every ticket sold makes a real difference.
You will receive a confirmation email after each weekly purchase, and you can cancel or modify your automatic subscription at any time through your personal account in the Manage my account section. All transactions are processed through our highly secure payment platform.
So if you believe, like we do, that we can transform our health network one ticket at a time… activate your automatic subscription now!
2. Can I modify my subscription (package, email, credit card, envelope)?
No, it is not possible to modify:
- the chosen ticket package ($10, $25, $50, $100 or $120),
- the email address linked to the subscription,
- the selected envelope,
- or the credit card used.
To make a change, you must cancel your current subscription and create a new one with the new information.
3. How can I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription at any time by following these steps:
- Go to the Manage my account section.
- Log in with your email and password (or click Create an account if it's your first visit, using the same email as for your purchase).
- Click the "manage subscription" button to view your active subscription.
- Click "cancel" on the far right.
(On a phone, you may need to swipe the screen to the left to see the button.)

Important: If a payment has already been made for the next draw, you will remain registered for that draw, but no further amount will be charged afterward.
4. What happens to my subscription when the Queen of Hearts is revealed?
If the Queen of Hearts is drawn, the current lottery ends, but your subscription remains valid for the next edition. No payment will be made between the end of the current edition and the start of the next (the license renewal and relaunch period). Charges will resume only at the official launch of the new edition.
5. What is the Fondation Santé Outaouais Queen of Hearts Lottery?

11. How long does it take to receive my tickets?
Tickets are generally sent to your email address within 5 minutes of your payment. Several reasons beyond our control, including a high sales volume, may cause a delay in receiving your tickets by email. Make sure you do not make any mistake when entering your email address during purchase, and check your spam folder if you still haven't received them in the hours following the transaction. If you still haven't received your tickets within the hour following the transaction, please write to us at lotosante@fondationsanteoutaouais.ca.
12. I think I made a mistake in my email address during purchase. What should I do?

- You will be able to update your first and last name, your mailing address and your phone number.
To change your email address, please contact us at 819 966-6108 extension 1.
14. How does the draw work and what amounts are distributed?
- Draws take place every Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m. at the administrative office of the Fondation Santé Outaouais.
- The winning number and the winner's prize will be announced on the Foundation's website (www.lotodamedecoeur.ca) as well as on 104.7 Outaouais radio between 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
- The funds raised are divided as follows: 20% for the weekly prize, 30% for the progressive jackpot, 50% given to the Fondation Santé Outaouais to fund its projects.
- The progressive jackpot starts at $100,000 and increases each week if the Queen of Hearts is not found. At the time of purchase, the ticket holder chooses an envelope at random from those available. Once the weekly winner is determined, if the chosen envelope contains the Queen of Hearts, they win the progressive jackpot. If another card is drawn, no additional prize is awarded.
- The game begins with 52 cards (and therefore 52 envelopes). Each week, if the Queen of Hearts is not found, an envelope is removed, reducing the number of options for the next draw. This process continues until the Queen of Hearts is drawn.
- NEW! The draw is now recorded on video and broadcast on the Facebook page of the Fondation Santé Outaouais during the day on Wednesday. So you can watch it again at any time to see the fairness and transparency of the process.
15. Can several people choose the same envelope?
Yes. Several participants can choose the same envelope number. The winner is determined by the drawn ticket number, not by the envelope.
The chosen envelope is used to determine the amount won:
- If it is the Queen of Hearts, the winner receives the progressive jackpot and the weekly prize.
- If it is another card, they receive only the weekly prize.
16. How do I claim a prize?
The holder of the winning ticket must claim their prize within 14 business days following the announcement, by contacting the Foundation by phone or email with:
- their printed ticket or their purchase email;
- valid proof of identity.
The prize is paid by bank transfer or by check within 60 business days.
17. What happens if I don't answer the radio call on draw day? Do I lose my prize?
No. If you don't answer the call, you don't lose your prize. The Fondation Santé Outaouais will contact you later in the day by phone or email to share the good news and arrange the details. The draw winner is determined by the ticket number, regardless of whether they are on air or not during the call.
18. What is the difference between numbers that start with 99 and the other numbers?
The difference between the numbers lies in the point of purchase:
- Numbers starting with 99 represent tickets purchased online. Online purchases make up about 85% of all sales.
- Numbers starting with another digit correspond to tickets sold at the various points of sale.
Regardless of their origin, all numbers have exactly the same chances of winning.
19. Is it mandatory to take part in the video if I win?
Yes. As stated in the official rules:
"By participating in a draw, the winners authorize the Fondation Santé Outaouais and its representatives to use their name, image, photo, voice and biographical information on all media (website, social media, press releases, printed or digital material, audio and video), in Canada and internationally, for an unlimited duration, without financial compensation. […] Any person who refuses to participate in the filming or photo shoot, or to consent to the publication of these elements, would thereby waive their right to claim the prize."
Therefore, refusing to take part in the filming or photo prevents the prize from being awarded.
20. What happens if the prize is not claimed?
If the winner does not claim their prize within 14 days, the amount is invested in a program approved by the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux (RACJ).
21. Are tickets refundable?
No. All ticket sales are final and non-refundable, for any reason whatsoever.
22. Is the prize taxable, and are draw tickets tax-deductible?
Lottery winnings are not taxable in Quebec. However, no official tax receipt will be issued following the purchase of draw tickets, as provided by the Canada Revenue Agency, because the ticket gives the buyer a chance to win and is therefore not a charitable donation.
23. What should I do if there is a problem with a ticket?
Any fraudulent or altered ticket will be rejected. In case of a problem, contact the Foundation at the following address: lotosante@fondationsanteoutaouais.ca.
24. Where can I find the official rules?
The complete rules are available on the Foundation's website: www.lotodamedecoeur.ca.
25. What are the draw dates for 2026?
Draws will take place every Wednesday morning at 8:30 a.m. on 104.7 Outaouais radio. Check the full calendar on the website www.lotodamedecoeur.ca for the exact dates.
26. Is my personal information safe?
Yes. The personal information collected as part of the Queen of Hearts lottery, organized by the Fondation Santé Outaouais in partnership with BUMP, a division of CBN, is strictly confidential and will be used exclusively for the administrative purposes of the lottery and to communicate with participants. This information will not be shared or sold to third parties without the explicit consent of the participants, unless required by law.
By participating in the lottery, participants agree that their data may be processed by the Fondation Santé Outaouais and BUMP in compliance with applicable personal data protection laws. Participants also have the right to unsubscribe from any mailing list by contacting us, and their request will be processed within a reasonable time.
27. Can I register a group name?
Participation in the Queen of Hearts lottery is reserved for natural persons. Purchases made on behalf of a group, association, company or any other legal entity are not eligible. Only one (1) name is registered per ticket. The name associated with the ticket cannot be changed after the ticket has been issued.
